Durable outdoor security camera mounted high on a brick residential exterior

Mounting equipment externally requires securing hardware to various siding materials and managing exposure to the elements.

Installation Process

The installation includes drilling appropriate mounting holes into siding, wood, or brick, and using suitable anchors to secure the camera base. If the camera requires wired power, basic cable routing to a nearby accessible outlet is performed. The camera angle is then physically adjusted to cover the intended area.

Important Limitations

Cameras must be positioned to observe the resident's property and should avoid unnecessarily capturing neighboring spaces or public areas to respect general privacy expectations. Network reception at the exterior wall must be verified prior to permanent mounting.
